Good girls go to heaven, bad girls go to “Fort GRRRRRL”. At this feminist base camp, four fighting females unashamedly explore everything that is usually denied the “fair sex”: making nasty faces, eating greasy food, taking the sexual initiative, being loud. The text and performance collective Henrike Iglesias give evil a home and celebrate the emancipation from formative gender roles. Their inspiration: the Hammer of the Witches, the Riot Girls, Laurie Penny and Britney Spears. “GRRRRRL” is a shameless utopia – a tribute to non-conformity, ugliness and freedom.

’Ibsen: Gespenster’ ist aufwühlend und überwältigend, komisch und unendlich traurig. So nah kann einem Theater kommen, das über ein gesellschaftlich relevantes Thema nachdenkt.
Neue Rhein Zeitung, 15.6.2015

Henrike Iglesias is a text and performance collective from Hildesheim. Their work covers everyone from pop to the personal and the political. Their debut piece “wir kommen nicht aus dem showbiz (auch wenn man das vielleicht denken könnte)” won the Audience Appreciation award at the 100° Berlin Festival at Sophiensæle in 2013. In 2014, they created “I can be your hero baby” in residency at the Schauspiel Leipzig. For the Sophiensaele festival “Männer in Garagen” they developed the car wash performance “Erotische Außenreinigung ihres PKW ohne Trocknung oder: Car Wash”.
